Chapters 20-23 The Law of Moses at Sinai
Exodus 25
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering. 3 And this is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, and bronze; 4 blue, purple, and scarlet thread, fine linen, and goats’ hair; 5 ram skins dyed red, badger skins, and acacia wood; 6 oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense; 7 onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate. 8 And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. 9 According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.
willingly with his heart- There is no tax, no requirement, all willing If we give to God willingly God will make sure it is enough.
25:10-16 The Ark: 23” wide, 39” long, and 23” high made from Acacia wood and gold. Inside it would be the Law that God would give to Moses
25:17-22 Mercy Seat: The Lid, 23” × 39,
there I will meet with you: This is where Gods glory would rest and talk when consulted about the people
25:23-30 The Show bread table : 1’6” wide, 3’ long, and 2’3” high and frame of 3” wide
25:31-40 The Lamp Stand: 75-125 pounds of pure Gold
26:1-6 The Curtains : 6’ wide and 42’ when the 5 curtains were put together they measured 30’x42 and when joined with the others it was 60’x42’. This made it possible to cover the top of the tabernacle, 15’ high and 45’ long.
26:7-13 Goat curtains: 45’ 3 feet longer then the first.
14 “You shall also make a covering of ram skins dyed red for the tent, and a covering of badger skins above that.
26:15-30 The frame 15’ high 2’3” wide about 2’ apart from each other.
36: 31-35 This divided the holy of holies and the holy place.
Chapter 27
27:1-8 The Bronze alter :7½’ square and 4½’ high. The ledge would be 2’ up
27:9-21 The Tabernacle
